London Midland Scottish Railway Route: Nuneaton to
Leamington
Kenilworth Station: lnwrk151
Ex-MR 0-6-0 3F No 3704 with a Leamington bound local
passenger train on 28 August 1936. Number 3704 was built by Sharp Stewart circa
1901 and were well regarded by Midland men even if their LNWR colleagues were
less enamored. Number 3704 would have undoubtedly have been withdrawn earlier
if the Second World War had not intervened. It did however manage to survive
until 1946 when it was withdrawn from Stafford shed to be scrapped shortly
afterwards.
