The station in all its full glory with the canopy, whilst not grand, providing a balance to the impressive architecture. The canopy provided cover to the passenger as they alighted or embarked aboard one of the horse drawn cabs or private carriages. The two cabs on the left are waiting for passengers to arrive before being permitted to draw forward under the canopy to pick up their client. The vehicles on the right appear to be private pony and traps. Note the driver sits behind and above his passengers.
