Ex-LNWR 2F 0-6-2T Coal Tank No 7742 running bunker first stands at the head of the 1.50pm Harborne to New Street service. The points to gain access to the goods yard and coal wharf would have been just a few feet in front of the locomotive's buffers. Passengers and crew are posing for the camera as this is the last day of passenger services. 24th November 1934

Number 7742 was given the running number 183 by the LNWR when built by Crewe works in August 1886 and remained in service until withdrawn from Rugby shed in October 1947 to be scrapped by Crewe works circa 1947
