Looking towards Nuneaton of the station's down platform on the left and the up platform and the station master's house on the right. The 'path' to the right hand platform has been edge in white, a safety feature first installed during the black out of the First World War. The building is constructed of timber framing and cladding erected on a brick plinth with a very short canopy being provided to protect passengers from inclement weather. The station was lit by oil lamps which was common to most railway stations situated outside of a main conurbation with some, such as Hawkesbury Lane, never being equipped with electric lighting during their entire existence.
