Powell Hendry et al state that the platform buildings were a blend of standard LNWR design and special features to harmonise with the booking office on the road. The window frames are unusually deep for their width, but these proportions, coupled with the decorative arches, repeat the lancet theme of the main building. The louvered feature on the roof indicates the gentlemen's toilet was located at the Coventry end of the building.
