View of Harborne's 42 ft diameter turntable sited at the end of the platform with the entrance to the goods yard on the right on 29th May 1929. The turntable was removed in 1947 and a sand wharf was built in its place. In all probability its removal was probably due to post war economy measures with the branch hardly justify the resource for a 2½ mile long line. The building behind the buffer stops is erected on top of a retaining wall whilst the access road ramp on the right turned 90° to pass in front of the building to connect with Station Road. At the beginning of the 20th century some eight coal merchants had offices located on the bend of the access road.
