This view of the station was taken some ten years after our time line of 1968. It has been included only to show that whilst the original platform buildings have been demolished the footbridge and two-storey building remain as before. The platform is also unaltered whereas today the platform has been shortened at this point to accommodate a pedestrian ramp for push-chairs etc from the booking office to the platform,
