Another photograph which should not be included as it was
taken in the 1970s after our time line of 1968 ut in the absence of other
photographs is included to show the station looking in the direction of
Birmingham. The the signal box was sited at the end of the down platform in
order to aid the signalman to control the carriage sidings and goods yard which
joined the main line just past the signal box in this view.
