By right this photograph should not be included as it was taken in the 1970s but in the absence of other photographs was included to show the general sweep of the station. The down platform has now been removed and the station's sidings on the right now appears to be one of the many builders yards that sprung up at similar locations when the railways ceased to operate goods or storage yard facilities.
