This close up of image 'lnwrfo53' shows the station staff posed on the down platform in a scene which could be pure LNWR/LMS maybe even down to their uniforms being the photograph was taken in 1951. The station signs are LNWR in style as it was about 1954 before the BR Totem became a familiar sight. Note the wires terminating onto the side of the canopy, rarely seen, they are thought to be for linking the station to the railway's telephone network as the main photograph shows the traditional sight of a telegraph pole above the canopy.
