Looking towards Lichfield with Blake Street station the next stop. Four Oaks' style of architecture is an excellent representation of the LNWR's late 19th century architecture. Built in 1884 the station provided accommodation and comfort significantly superior to that found in early periods although the LNWR' obsession with profit had resulted in the utlisation of standardised components.
