LMS Route: Nuneaton to Coventry
Foleshill Station: lnwrf1471
Foleshill station prior to the erection of the road bridge
which scarred the views of the station. The steel sheeted footbridge on the
right was replaced both in location and in type, a steel framed version being
erected on the platforms. The goods yard lay on the right, the road entrance to
which is obscured by the footbridge.
The station buildings on the left included the station
masters house (the two story structure). As the single story building remained
(and in fact was extended on the left-hand side) its hard to see from this view
why the station master's house was demolished when the road bridge was built.
It does not appear to foul any building line that the road bridge would take
based on the profile of the single story structure.
