This close up of image 'lnwrf134' shows the goods yard empty
allowing a clear view of the yard's layout. There are seven sidings with the
nearest being the siding next to the landing stage. A 1928 LMS strip map shows
a goods shed standing where the landing stage is seen.
It is presumed it impeded on the building of the road
bridge and was demolished in 1931. The coal stacks seen in the distance beyond
the furthest siding are probably for industrial use each lorry load of coal
being weighed rather than bags as would be the instance with domestic
sales.
