LMS Route: Rugby to Leamington Spa (Avenue)
Dunchurch Station: lnwrdun1336
Prior to the Gallipoli Campaign, involving tens of thousands
of troops from Britain, Australia and New Zealand (ANZACS), troops involved in
the campaign had to be marshalled at various locations across the country.
One such place was in the Dunchurch area and during this
period King George V visited Dunchurch to review the troops. This photograph
shows the disembarking of the King's horses at Dunchurch railway station from a
pristine LNWR horse box. March 1915
