Looking towards the Grand Junction. The cattle landing which was constructed by the LNWR was located in Banbury Street. As with all railway companies, the LNWR were responsible for the care of livestock whilst in transition and the substantial roofed accommodation reflected this. The signal seen above the roof was the down MR line home signal sited at Proof House junction whilst the chimney shows the drovers accommodation located mid-way between the cattle pens.
