Looking towards Nuneaton as ex-LMS 4-6-0 Stanier Black 5 No 44915 oasses through the station en-route to Coventry. Number 44915 was built just after the Second World War in December 1945 remaining in service until December 1967 when it was withdrawn from Lostock Hall shed.

The volume of locomotives being withdrawn in the last years was so great it exceeded the capacity of the country's scrap metal merchants. Therefore Number 44915 remained in store until October 1968 when it was finally cut up for scrap by TW Ward Ltd of Beighton.
