The nameplates have been removed as they were quickly purchased by enthusiasts although in certain circumstances British Railways did donate them to organisations associated with the name. Coventry received one of the plates from the 'City of Coventry', Stanier's 4-6-2 Coronation class locomotive, which the city donated back to the station to be fixed above platform's two and three stairwell whilst the city's museum received both of the 'Lady of Godiva' plates from the Patriot class engine.
