Coventry Shed: lnwrcov661

Ex-LMS 2-6-4T 4MT No 42669 stands on shed alongside ex-LMS 2-6-0 No 46420 and an unidentified ex-LMS 2-8-0 8F locomotive. Built as LMS No 2669 at Derby works to Lot 148 in December 1942 it remained in service until October 1961 when it was withdrawn from Coventry's parent shed at Rugby to be scrapped during April 1962 by J Cashmore of Great Bridge. Ivatt Mogul No 2-6-0 46420 is technically not a LMS design being built at Crewe works in November 1948 but was a member of a class first built in 1946, it remained in service until January 1965 when it was withdrawn from Nuneaton shed to be scrapped during March 1965 by J Cashmore of Great Bridge.
