The open top tram is an early model of one of Coventry's trams that ran in the city until the damage caused by the blitz of November 1940 resulted in the abandonment of the whole system. The Station canopy and buildings behind were new having been built during the 1901-3 period.

The horse drawn vehicle appears to be some kind of LNWR parcels vehicle based on its shape and its livery which was in LNWR Blackberry black and white. Note the absence of any signs attached to the canopy.
