The trackwork to the new station was laid in a phased manner depending on the progress achieved with the construction of the station. In this view the trackwork to platform 4 on the left is now complete whilst platform 3 is substantively complete. The track the other side of the buffer stop to the photographer protects what is in effect a long siding accessed from the other end of the station.

In platform 1 stands a single Diesel railcar coupled to a long wheelbase van transferring luggage and parcels whilst the normal porter service is still unavailable by luggage bridge.
