Coventry Station: lnwr606

Platform 1 had a wide passenger concourse at the Birmingham end of the platform starting from just past the passenger footbridge to platform 2 up to the parcel bay. The entrance/exit to the station was accessed at this point and two doorways with "Way Out" can be seen on the left in BR's new corporate maroon & cream livery.

Coventry's engineering heritage can be seen advertised throughout the station and in this instance the glass case between the pillars promoted one of the many engineering companies. 8th Nov 1954
