Looking towards Birmingham from the Rugby end of the up platform with the columns on the right remnants of the bomb damage. The roof was demolished and were never replaced the railway chosing to add a new side section where the platform. This view shows just how much shorter the down platform was which caused all sorts of operational problems. The branch line to Leamington, just out of view on the left, meant that the platform could never be extended in this direction whilst Warwick Road bridge at the other end of the platform limited options there too.
