Looking towards Rugby with the junction with the Leamington branch on the right and the shed visible in between. Coventry No 1 signal cabin protected the junction, the main line towards Humber Road junction, the carriage sidings and access from the branch into the shed. On the left can be seen the the home starter signals, on the left the one controlling platform one and on the right the one controlling the through line to Rugby. Also on the left can be seen the water column and the 'fire devil' - the brazier used to stop the column from freezing in winter. In the sidings next to the shed is an ex-LMS 4-6-0 Jubilee class locomotive and an ex-LMS 2-6-4T locomotive can be seen standing amongst the loco coal wagons.
