This close up of image "lnwrcov554" shows part of the goods yard immediately adjacent to the Birmingham and Nuneaton lines. No 1 goods shed is seen parallel to these tracks with the sidings between the goods shed and the running lines having wagon turntables thereby allowing a more direct access to the goods shed. These turntables allowed entry into the shed from the middle thereby increasing the flexibility of loading and unloading wagons. The turntable can be seen above the second group of wagons from the bottom and evidence of at least one turntable still remained up to the late 1980s.

The buildings fronting Warwick Road included both offices and stores. In addition, the lower ground floor that fronted the yard inside contained stables for use by the horses employed in shunting and road distribution.
