Ex-LNWR 1P 2-4-2T No 6739 is seen standing at platform one during shunting maneuvers for the parcels depot. Designed by FW Webb as a tank version of his celebrated 2-4-0 Precursor locomotive, No 6739 was built at Crewe works in April 1897 and remained in service until May 1947 when it was withdrawn from Rugby shed and scrapped during October 1947 at Crewe works.
