Ex-LMS 4-6-0 Jubilee class No 45722 'Defence' coupled to a Fowler 3500 gallon tender is seen passing through Coventry station at speed with an up express service in the early 1950s. Built as LMS No 5722 by Crewe works to Lot 321 August 1936 and remained in service until November 1962 when it was withdrawn from Oxley shed to be scrapped in July 1963 at Crewe works.
