Ex-LMS 4-6-2 8P Coronation class No 46240 'City of Coventry stands at Coventry station's new platform one with an up Birmingham to Euston express circa 1963. Built as LMS No 6240 by Crewe works in March 1940 in streamlined form and painted in plain black livery it remained in service until October 1964 when it was withdrawn from Crewe North shed to be scrapped in March 1965 by J Cashmore of Great Bridge.
