Ex-LMS 2-8-0 8F No 48416 is seen heading north under Warwick Road bridge with an empty engineering train of trucks for carrying rails circa 1962. Built as LMS No 8416 at Swindon works in November 1943 it remained in service until July 1965 when it was withdrawn from Crewe South shed for scrapping in November 1965 by Bird's of Long Marston near Stratford upon Avon.
