Ex-LMS 5XP 4-6-0 Jubilee class No 45593 'Kolhapur' passes under the footbridge on a down mixed freight on 26th June 1963. Now preserved No 45593 was built by the North British Locomotive Company in December 1934 and was withdrawn in October 1967 from Holbeck shed in Leeds.

The lamps on the buffer beam are displayed to indicate the 'Group Four' code for 'Parcels, newspaper, fish, meat, fruit, milk, horsebox, cattle or perishable train composed entirely of vacuum-fitted stock with the vacuum pipe connected to the engine' or 'Express freight, livestock, perishable or ballast train partly vacuum fitted with not less than one-third vacuum braked vehicles connected by vacuum pipe to the engine'.
