LMS Route: Nuneaton to Leamington

Chilvers Coton railway station looking towards Nuneaton with the arches in the distance. Unlike its near neighbour, Hawkesbury Lane, the station buildings on both platforms are standard LNWR structures.

The platform on the left appears to have upright posts a practice normally associated in this period with timber platforms. This strategy was normally adopted when stations were built on elevated sections of lines to reduce the weight carried by the embankments. 4th October 1964
