Ex-LNWR 2P 0-6-2T 'Watford Tank' No 6876 is seen standing at the West end of Platform 2 at the head of a local passenger service to Wolverhampton

Ex-LNWR 2P 0-6-2T 'Watford Tank' No 6876 is seen standing at the West end of Platform 2 at the head of a local passenger service to Wolverhampton on 20th August 1938. The locomotive is in black livery with yellow lettering shaded black. Agree though it is almost certainly black at that date. Built at Crewe works in May 1888 No 6876 remained in service for another eleven years being withdrawn in August 1949 from Stafford shed to be scrapped by Crewe works. The first carriage is an ex-LNWR cove roof 50ft x 9ft non-corridor to Diagram 338 followed by what is probably an elliptical roof ex-LNWR carriage.
