British Railways Standard Class 4MT 2-6-4T No 80081 is seen on the up middle road between Platforms 3 and 4 with empty stock for the 5 49pm service to Rugby on Thursday 24th September 1959. Built in March 1954 by Brighton works No 80081 was to have a very short working life being withdrawn from service in June 1965 from Bournemouth Central shed to be scrapped during October 1965 by Birds of Morriston.
