LMS Route: Rugby to Leamington Spa (Avenue)

Looking towards Rugby with the goods siding lifted and the signal box and accompanying signals removed. The station was still used for a further six years before it to closed to traffic. The line was singled to accommodate chalk trains running to Southam Cement Works from Rugby and via reversing at Marton Junction. The loss of this this contract resulted in the line's closure and removal by 1986. The house remains to day as a private dwelling.
