Looking "South" across Lichfield Road bridge and on to the
junction where the line to Stetchford branched left whilst the line to
Birmingham New Street continued to the right of the signal box seen in the
photograph. The door to the lift is on the right of the photograph and evidence
that the platform was bidrectional is seen in the location of a signal to the
left of the lift door.
