LMS 5XP 4-6-0 Patriot class No 5522 'Prestatyn' is seen picking up water whilst at the head of the up 'Lakes' express in August 1939. Rebuilt from a Claughton class locomotive by Crewe works in March 1933, No 5522 received its name in March 1939 and was then again rebuilt with a 2A tapered boiler in February 1949 and as such remained in service until September 1964 when it was withdrawn from Buxton shed to be scrapped in May 1965 by the Central Wagon Company of Ince in Wigan.
