LMS 5XP 4-6-0 Jubilee class No 5630 'Swaziland' is seen piloting LMS 6P 4-6-0 Royal Scot class No 6142 'The York and Lancaster Regiment'

LMS 5XP 4-6-0 Jubilee class No 5630 'Swaziland' is seen piloting LMS 6P 4-6-0 Royal Scot class No 6142 'The York and Lancaster Regiment' whilst working an up express service in August 1939. Built at Crewe works in November 1934 No 5630 remained in service until withdrawn in November 1961 after a collision ay Dallam shed in October 1961 to be cut up by Crewe works. Fowler Royal Scot No 6142 was built in November 1927 by the North British Locomotive Company and following its rebuilding post-war with a tapered 2A boiler remained in service until January 1964 when it was withdrawn from Longsight shed in Manchester to be scrapped in January 1964 by Crewe works.
