LMS 4-6-2 Streamlined Coronation class No 6224 'Princess Alexandria' with a down express comprising Coronation stock. This locomotive can be seen in its de-streamlined in image "lnwr_brin1092" some nine years later.

Note the oil lamps on the platform which was common throughout the railway network. On the up line a ladder can be seen leaning against a lamppost presumably used to trim the wick and refill the oil. C1939
