GWR Route: Banbury to Wolverhampton
Fenny Compton: gwrfc83a
This close up of image 'gwrfc83' shows the booking office,
timber framed store and grounded coach body on the up platform. The passengers
were expected to cross by the barrow crossing and not by the level crossing as
this guided passengers via the protected pathway to each of the platforms. The
railings appear to be standard GWR 'arrowhead' metal fencing and these led to
to the iron girders that carried both the path and railway over the
underpass.
