Looking in the direction of Hockley towards Bay Platforms 9 and 10 from the middle of the up platform with the Ladies Waiting Room to the right. The platform buildings were very ornate and were built as separate units along the platform, those shown above being a set of two also seen in image 'gwrbhs79'. The furthest building accommodated the Telegraph office also just seen in the photograph is the lift located at the end of the bay platforms providing access from below. Two platforms signs can also be seen pointing towards Platform 8 on the left which used for trains arriving and departing from the Hockley end of the main through up platform, and Platform 9 which was the bay platform on the right.
