Ex-MR 3F 0-6-0 No 43693 is seen at the head of a local passenger train arriving from Towcester in the 1950s. Number 43693 was a member of the MR's 1873 class and was built by Sharp Stewart in May 1901 and lasted in service until withdrawn from its home shed, Saltley, in December 1959 to be scrapped by Doncaster Plant in July 1960.
