A member of the LMS' staff checks the Ro-Railer's temporary buffing heads and a draw hook, a bizarre fixture as neither ever being required in service. Sanding gear and locomotive headlamp arrangements were an obvious requirement. It seemed like the LMS publicity department had achieved more than their wildest dreams when the streets of Stratford-upon-Avon were filled with people when it made its first trip to the station from the Welcombe Hotel on April 23. 1932. This was however for the ceremony of the opening of the rebuilt Shakespeare Memorial Theatre.
