In addition to the sidings where a large number of open wagons can be seen discharging coal, large timber baulks can be seen stored on the embankment. Kineton station's goods yards - another but smaller yard was situated behind the signal box which was to the right of the photographer - are large given the size of the market town and would indicate that the demand for railway transport was being generated by more than the households of the town.
