Close up showing the goods shed's side elevation facing the railway and the entrance used by road vehicles

Close up of image 'smje88' showing the goods shed's side elevation facing the railway and the entrance used by road vehicles for transhipment. Instead of using a lintel the builder's have built the opening as an archway in the manner used for the doors seen image 'smje13a'. The pair of doors used to secure this entrance appear to be steel framed with timber cladding. The bottom of the doors are approximately 3'6" above the ground being flush to the top of the platform inside the shed. The white semi-circle at the top of the doors is thought to be an infill rather than a decorative feature, most likely made of timber and used to help secure the opening. With the platform inside this entrance being some 2ft-6in above rail height, this entrance would not be a secure as the two rail entrances.
