Burton Dassett Platform: smjbd7a
Close up of image 'smjbd7' showing Burton Dassett Platform's
derelict structure built with 9 inch brick walls, corrugated asbestos roof and
concrete lintels. The room nearest the camera was clearly an office whilst the
large opening was used for storing either equipment being used in the sidings
or for another long forgotten reason. It is thought by the writer that this
structure was too modern looking to be built before the First World War and was
most likely associated with the building of the Edge Hill Light Railway in
1922.
