British Railways Diesel Shunter 0-6-0 D3775 runs past empty wagons at Water Orton goods sidings in the early 1960s. In the background is a rake of various ex-LMS and BR Guards Vans waiting to be deployed on their next trip. D3775 was built by Derby works in July 1959 and, after being renumbered under TOPs as 08608 in March 1974, was to remain in service until May 1994 when it was withdrawn from TE Thornaby MPD to be scrapped by CF Booth of Rotherham. D3775 was allocated to 21D Aston shed from November 1960 to October 1965 and at Saltley from October 1965 to October 1971.
