Water Orton Station: mrwo1749

A 1908 view of Water Orton station's entrance for goods and passengers and the booking hall. Every effort has been made to enhance a simple overbridge entrance by the use of decorative stone string courses and mouldings, shaped parapet and chimney stacks. A small canopy is supported below by wooden brackets and above by scrolled steel ties. On the right is a semaphore signal controlling the up line, the cross on the arm denoting its not yet in service.
