LMS Route: Evesham to Birmingham

Salford Priors station: mrsp581

View of Salford Priors station during LMS ownership prior to the replacement of the MR angled station nameboard

Another view of Salford Priors station taken during LMS ownership circa 1935 but prior to the replacement of the Midland Railway twin faced oblique angled station nameboard. The edging to the flowerbed on the platform was formed either by using engineering bricks laid on an angle or by using glazed tiles which had a scalloped top finish. By the late 1940s the tin lean-to on the gable end will have been replaced by a timber shed and the ivy on the gable wall will have been removed.
