LMS 2P 4-4-0 No 699 is seen in immaculate condition standing alongside ex-LNWR 0-8-0 'Super 'D' No 9378 with ex-MR 3F 0-6-0 No 3321 behind its tender

LMS 2P 4-4-0 No 699 is seen in immaculate condition standing alongside ex-LNWR 0-8-0 'Super 'D' No 9378 with ex-MR 3F 0-6-0 No 3321 behind its tender on 2nd March 1935. Built at Crewe works in December 1932, No 699 remained in service until it was withdrawn in December 1959 from Llandudno Junction shed to be scrapped in August 1960 by TW Ward Ltd of Killamarsh. The 'Super D' No 9378 was built by Crewe works in April 1902 and remained in service until November 1959 when it was withdrawn from Wigan shed to be scrapped in April 1960 by Crewe works. Finally. ex-MR 3F No 3321 was built by Kitson & Co in December 1892 and remained in service until it was withdrawn in February 1961 from Saltley shed to be scrapped in June 1961 by J Cashmore of Great Bridge.
