Dave Barrow's uncle poses for the camera on ex-LMS 4-6-0 No 46148 ' The Manchester Regiment'

Dave Barrow's 'Uncle Bert', the fireman on the right, poses for the camera on ex-LMS 4-6-0 No 46148 'The Manchester Regiment', a Rebuilt Royal Scot class locomotive. In fact 'Uncle Bert' wasn't a member of Dave Barrows' family just a friend to his father. Both the driver and 'Uncle Bert' were based at Bushbury shed so as the locomotive was never allocated to Saltley shed, it must have been visiting to be topped up with water and coal after bring a train in to New Street. If the list below is complete this would date the photograph as circa 1951 when it was allocated to Bushbury shed.
