Ex-LMS 2-6-4T No 42436 is seen standing out of service alongside Saltley shed's rear wall in 1966. Built by Derby works to Lot 128 in April 1936, No 42436 was to remain in service until June 1966 when it was withdrawn officially from 10D Lostock Hall shed to be scrapped by Bird's of Long Marston.
